After our
Christmas seafood feast, we opened to ease into
Christmas night. After a few hours decanting the nose showed rich berries, sour cherries, anise, forest floor, tomato leaf, minerals and some spice. On the palate it was well balanced with sour cherries dominant. Acidity was quite robust and tannins too. While well made, this
pinot seemed a tad green and young, and definitely needs some bottle ageing, probably 5 years plus.
