Orlando St Hilary Padthaway Chardonnay 2005

Pre-dinner, and a chardonnay from Orlando in front of a much needed fire. Opened with aromas of melon, peach, vanilla, nuts and spicey gingery oak. On the palate it was medium bodied, with oak and fruit fairly integrated, good length and a tight dry finish. Nice creamy mouthfeel and did sweeten a little as it warmed but overall this was a finely crafted chardonnay. Decent value at around $25.
50+4+13+16+7 = 90/100
