6. Leeuwin Estate Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2001
Back to Margaret River, and this cabernet opened to a fairly subtle bouquet of blackfruits, cedar, spice and a touch of gravel. The palate again was light and subtle, with a light body, fine tannins and dry finish. It did seem a little light and young, almost anemic compared to other Cabernets in the line up. A bit of a let down for a fairly esteemed wine.
