Dunsborough Hills Merlot Cabernet 2004

Having tried their shiraz, decided to give the cab merlot a try. Sharp and boofy bouquet of unripe cherries, plum and some black pepper. Palate was very sharp and acidic so into a decanter (7 times) and things didn't really improve. This wine did hold a little promise on its bouquet, but the palate was a write-off. Obviously this was released to reap profits on the undiscerning drinker, and unfortunately there are a lot of them. Relegated to cooking wine status, or a vinigarette even.
50+4+12+5+3 = 74/100
