Concha Y Toro Casillerro del Diablo Malbec 2006

I had heard that Concha Y Toro did do a Malbec, but never saw one until the other day, so decided to give it a go. Opened to a rich and fruity bouquet of plum, blackberries, ripe pear flesh, red apple skin and some spice at the back. The palate was very smooth, with pureed fruits and nominal tannins or oak. Decent body and length, with a dry and fruity sherry-ish finish. Quite an odd wine is some ways, but very drinkable nonetheless.
50+4+13+16+7 = 90/100
