Moillard Domaine Des Reyssiers Beaujolais-Villages 2005
Needing a break from Cabernets, picked up a Burgundy for dinner. Opened to a lovely, soft and floral bouquet of cherries, strawberries, white pepper, mocha and hints of sap. On the palate it was again soft and fine tannins, everything in balance and sound in structure. Although a relatively light wine, it was a very welcome break from weightier reds. While not a great fan of Gamay, this was indeed a superb light red wine, which makes a great aperitif, or lunch table wine.
