Yalumba Y Series Sauvignon Blanc 2006
For pre-dinner, tried the Y-Series SB, which I have not had before. Opened to a fairly generous bouquet of lemon, gooseberry, passionfruit, grass and some spice. On the palate it was quite clean, with decent fruit and crisp finish. The wine was balanced and had reasonable length, and in a way represented a text-book Australian SB, with a very clear expression of the variety. At $10 it was worth its price.
50+4+13+15+7 = 89/100
