Monte Antico Toscano IGT 2003

Another wine for xmas drinks, this red made form sangiovese had a lovely aroma of cherry, spice, sage, mint and some spice. On the palate a light savouryness, with confident acidity and balance. Good length and finish made this a lovely, superlative Italian red table wine, working very well with food. Quite a surprise, and very good value for around $25. Yum.
