Salomon Undhof Pfaffenberg Riesling 2001

Having tried one of their rieslings a while back at a tasting in Annandale, brought this to the xmas wine tasting. Golden green in colour, the bouquet consisted of soft citrus, honey and some smoke. The palate was soft and rounded, with a nice acidity, minerality and creaminess, due to perhaps some maleolatic fermentation. This wine seemed older than its years, very old fashioned in a way, but nevertheless lovely drinking.
