Leo Buring Clare Valley Riesling 2006
The new vintage of this riesling, the bouquet was quite reserved, with lemon, lime, peach, and soft musky sherbert. On the palate it was again reserved, with citrus fruits and a powdery dry mouthfeel. Well balanced, the length and finish was much shorter than the 2005. This was essentially the same wine as the 2005, but much less expressive and intense. Still a lovely crafted riesling, and may give a little more after some cellaring.
