Peter Lehmann Clancy's Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2003
A gift from my parents, this red blend from the Barossa had initially a big boofy bouquet, with aromas of plums, berries, spice and a touch of mint and chocolate. On the palate it was initially a little volitile, but did settle down to be relatively soft and well balanced. A little thin in body, it did finish reasonably well and had decent length. As a blend it could have been better crafted, perhaps with less or no Merlot, but overall a popular easy drinking red, which does need decanting.
