Cornu-Camus Pierre Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits 2004
And for dinner and a movie and an open fire, we had this Burgundy from the Côte d'Or, particulary the Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits. Opened to a soft bouquet of strawberries, sour cherries, forest floor, mushroom and a touch of sap. The palate was delicate but weighty on the mid to back palate, with soft sour cherries with caramel and vanilla bean. Good length and soft supple finish, this Pinot was quite refined and delicate. A good example of a fairly cheap Burgundy.
