Mount Tamborine Winery French Oak Chardonnay 2004
The second white from my Tamborine case, this chardonnay had an attractive bouquet of peach, nectarine, pineapple, spice and vanilla. On the palate it was quite slippery, rich and rounded. Fruit and oak were reasonably well integrated, and had a little sweetness coming through but held back with a fairly dry finish. Overall not a bad chardonnay which could have been a little more tightly structured.
