De Bortoli Gulf Station Chardonnay 2005
From the Yarra Valley Vic, this mid-priced chardonnay had relatively soft aromas of melon, spice and a little cream. On the palate it was well balanced, mid to light bodied with clean acidity, but didn't really do that much. Seemed to lack presence, and didn't really have anything distinctive about it. I sort of think the cheaper Windy Peak has more character and flavour. Well made certainly, but just a bit boring.
