Portone Valpolicella Doc 2005

After liking a Valpolicella we had recently, picked up this cheaper $9 bottle for our pasta dinner. Very soft floral bouquet of dry spice and cherries. On the palate it was quite light, with morello cherries, some herbs and spice. Soft light tannins and a light dry finish, it did its job well as a light Italian table wine. Very easy drinking.
