With my taste for Rioja growing, gave this Spanish Tempranillo a try. On the nose were bright berry fruits, licorice and some herbs. The palate was quite chewey, with soft tannins and a decent dry finish. Light to medium in body, it lent itself well to food, matching our chorizo pizza quite well. While it lacks the complexity and depth of a Rioja, it was overall quite a nice and cheap Spanish table wine.
