Fox Gordon "The Abby" Viognier 2006

From the Barossa Valley, this relatively cheap ($20) limited release Viognier had aromas of quince, apricot, pears and honey suckle. On the palate it was quite well bodied, with rich round fruit, chewey acidity, and a fairly grippy finish. The 14% alcohol was a little evident, yet the wine held itself from tipping into volitility. A pretty good effort for I think their first viognier.
50+4+13+15+7 = 89/100
