Marques De La Concordia Signa Rioja 2003

Running out of wine for the tasting/party, ran down with the boys to the local and picked up the first (and only) Rioja I could see. Classic bouquet of berries, dutch licorice and spice. On the palate it was fairly light to medium bodied, with great balance and focus. Good length and soft dry finish, this wine was a small hit with our lovely bbq meats, provided so graciously by Heike. I like Rioja, and I think my friends do too.
