For dinner we opened this Central Otago pinot, as we were having a bit of duck. On the bouquet were some big aromas of cherries, berries, plum, sap and a little spiced peel. On the palate it was quite fleshy with good tannins, balanced acidity and lenghty finish. Only downside was just a touch of alcohol heat peaking through. Otherwise a very good effort for Otago pinot.
