Gunderloch Red Stone Riesling 2007

Lately have been quite impressed with a few German rieslings. This wine from Rheinhessen showed lovely aromas of citrus, herbs, honey, nuts and smoke. The palate was off-dry with sweetness very nicely offset by sappy fruit, stony minerality and smoke flavours. A lovely riesling, and good value at $25.
