Tyrrell's Old Winery Semillon 2006

I was intent on getting a bottle of the new 2000 Vat1 Semillon, which I had seen previously in the liquor shop, but upon returning it was gone, and the staff member denied ever having it. So contented myself with this wine. Opened to a fairly fresh bouquet of lemon, lime and feint wax and grass. On the palate it seemed a little young, with decent balance and length. Essentially the same wine as the 2005, but certainly less complex. Maybe cellaring will attend to that.
