Bottle Tree Semillon Chardonnay 2005

This white blend produced by John R McLaughlin, Warren NSW seemed to be destined for the UK market, with its eye-catching label and importer note on the back. On the boquet it was very sweet and tropical, with lychees, pineapple, citrus and honey. Again on the palate it was quite sweet, with more tropical fruit and fairly big on acid, and did need extra chilling to mask it. I can see this being reasonably popular with undemanding white drinkers, or those with sweet tastes, but for me just a pure exercise in marketing.
50+4+12+13+6 = 85/100
