Trimbach Pinot Gris Reserve 2004
Not seeing any Reserve Rieslings left, I had to content myself to settle for the Pinot Gris, which I had not tried in any case. Opened to a fairly austere and refined bouquet showing spiced pears, apricot, musk and some honey. On the palate again austere, with fine minerals and very balanced acids. Finished quite soft and totally dry. Overall quite an elegant wine, but felt slightly aneamic.
