Domaine des Souterrains Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2005

Finally Friday evening, and felt like some French wine to wind down to. From Touraine in Loire, this un-oaked sauvignon blanc opened to a rather soft and reserved bouquet of citruss, flowers, herbs and a touch of honey. On the palate quite soft fruits, with some nice mineral qualities. Fairly light in body, it did finish nicely soft and dry. Not an overly complex or unique wine, but a refined and soft aperitif.
50+4+12+16+7 = 89/100
