Taylors Promised Land Cabernet Merlot 2005

A cheap red for dinner, this Cab Merlot from SA showed aromas of blackcurrant, redcurrant, chocolate, mint and some wood and spice. On the palate it was fleshy and rounded, with acidity a little aggressive. Length was good and finish reasonably dry and savoury. Overall not a bad wine, which does its job pretty well. Not bad value at around $13.
