Chateau Villegeorge 2002 Cru Bourgeois Haut Medoc

Picked this up for Cheryl's party and to combat the filthy cold weather. A full bodied wine that opened with aromas of violet and raspberry and blackberry with some woody characteristics. On the palate the tannins were too astringent on first opening but over the evening mellowed to a lovelly velvety softness. This needed to be decanted except it was a fight to find a glass let alone a decanter. Would suit game very well.
