La Serre Merlot Vin De Pays d’OC 2004
This wine from Arzens Languedoc, had a bouquet of cherries, pepper and some herbs. On the palate it was quite soft and round, with a little runaway acidity. Not a lot of depth or length, but did become softer and revealing as it warmed. Perhaps needed decanting to give everything it had. Overall a cheap easy drinking red, with a very stylish new-world label.
