Charles Melton Rose of Virginia 2005

This rose from the Barossa was quite deep in colour, and had a bouquet of cherries, raspberries, flowers and a hint of mint. On the palate it was quite dense for a rose, similar to a pinot. It was quite chewy, with rich berries, and finished quite dry. Not really my kind of rose, for it tried to be something other. Overpowering, overpriced, and overrated. (OOO)
