Voyager Estate Shiraz 2004

A blind buy, this shiraz from the Margaret River WA was deep plum with hints of violet in colour. Initially an enticing nose with dark blackberries and soft spice. On the palate it was divided, with rich sweet fruit, medium tannis and robust acidity all working individually, but not coming together. There is a possibility that these elements will merge, but then again it may never happen. For now it is schizophrenic, fruity and flabby, and not that elegant.
50+4+12+12+5 = 83/100
