J. Vidal-Fleury Cotes-du-Rhone 2006
Cheapish at around $15, this French red showed aromas of cherry, currants, raspberry, licorice, oak and some nice savoury spice. On the palate it was medium bodied, rich-ish but more linear, with a nice structure and slightly chewey tannins. Finished quite dry and focused. Overall quite a decent and morish CDR at a good price. Would cellar a few years.
