Brezza Barolo Cannubi DOCG 2003
At a friends birthday dinner, I took along this Barolo as a gift. Opened slowly to aromas of plums, cherries, rose petals, cedar, fennel and some savoury spice. On the palate it was light to mid bodied, with oak a little dominant. There was a little nutty sweetness which was curbed, maybe not enough by a dry savoury finish. Overall quite a complex wine, which seemed a little young and on the sweet side. Still very lovely and my friend and his guests did enjoy it.
