Domaine de la Denante Saint-Véran 2002

This white Burgundy from the Maconnais, had a mid pale gold colour. Initially the boquet was quite fruit dominant, but as the wine warmed, other aromas were forthcoming, with honey, mint, sage and grilled nuts. On the palate it was slender in body, with a semi-lush viscous mouthfeel. Oak and fruit were well balanced, giving equally roundness and tightness. Length was decent and finish dry and light. Everything in balance here, however the wine does need to warm somewhat to express itself.
50+4+13+16+7 = 90/100
