08. Chateau Beaumont Haut-Medoc 2002

I was looking forward to this Bordeaux, as the last Haut-Medoc I had was a cracker. After an hour of decanting, the bouquet seemed a little locked, even green. Further the palate seemed flat and listless, with soft plum and blackberries, maybe a hint of pepper, but really not much else. A great dissapointment, although some people insisted on finishing it off - they obviously were pissed.
