Rongopai Hawke's Bay Merlot Cabernet 2006

Meaning apparently 'Good Taste', this Cab Merlot from NZ opened to quite an attractive bouquet of ripe plums, blackcurrant, oak and some coffee and spice. On the palate fruits were ripe, over some more ripe tannins. It was quite well balanced and finished soft and dryish. Overall a very suave and approachable red. Would do well with lamb I think.
