Vasse Felix Heytesbury Chardonnay 2005

I had read good reviews of this chardonnay from the Margaret River, so was looking forward to giving it a try. Opened to quite a sofisticated and complex bouquet of grapefruit, nuts, nutmeg, ginger, apricot, musk and cream. On the palate it was highly integrated and balanced, with medium body and superb soft-tight finish. The level of integration of its characters was remarkable and made for a very elegant, robust and skillfully made wine. Overall a top chardonnay and well worth $40.
50+4+13+18+8 = 93/100
