3. Giesen Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2007 - WINNER

Another wine from Marlborough, this SB opened to a relatively muted bouqet of sweet lemons, gooseberries, dried herbs and some grass. On the palate it was quite fine and well balanced with fine acidity, crisp fruits and some nice minerality. The wine showed good length and a very nice savoury finish. A very well made NZ SB and quite popular with all of us. 2 votes.
