Labeye Grenache-Syrah Vin de Pays D'Oc 2005
A cheap red for dinner, which Deb picked up, this blend from Caunes-Minervois, Languedoc, opened to a light and pleasant bouquet of cherries, berries, plum, licorice and some candied-musk. On the palate it was relatively light in body, but with good balance and tight dry finish. It did lack some complexity but would work well as a light lunch table wine, with say some stiff cheeses and baguettes. Not bad value too at $10.
