Hungerford Hill Tumbarumba Chardonnay 2006
This chardonnay from Tumbarumba in NSW, had quite a refined bouquet of grapefruit, melon, cinnamon, cream and soft confected nutty notes in the background, not dissimilar to a Chablis. On the palate it had quite robust acidity, with grapefruit dominant, integrated confidently into French oak. Quite a long and dry finish this was quite a fine chardonnay, with a great bouquet. Good value at $25, although I suspect it is only an introductory/sale price.
