Leeuwin Estate Prelude Vineyards Chardonnay 2004

This second label chardonnay from WA was pale gold in colour, with a soft bouquet of melon, pear, stonefruits, spice, vanilla and cream. On the palate it was quite focused, with pears and grapefruit integrated deftly with oak. A nice buttery mouthfeel and clean soft finish. Would have liked it a little leaner on the fruit, but still this is a very well made chardonnay, and good value at around $30.
50+4+14+16+7 = 91/100
