J. Vidal-Fleurie Cotes du Ventoux 2004

Being the second Cotes du Ventoux I have tried, I did have reservations. Initial aromas were slight, being a soft cherry with spice in the background, but as the wine warmed more aromas were forthcoming, including black pepper, cedar, nougat, violets and caramel. Palate wise it was very soft, smooth and well balanced, with medium body and length. After unlocking, this wine is quite enjoyable, enough so to explore wines from this region further.
50+4+13+15+7 = 89/100
