Verdicchio

Marotti Campi Albiano Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico 2004

This wine, made from 100% Verdiccihio comes from the territory of Morro d'Alba, Ancona, Italy is light straw yellow in colour, and has an interesting bouquet of soft flowers, perhaps marigolds, and is a little herbal. On the palate it is dry, minerally, lean in fruit and has hints of almonds. Medium in length, it tended to become a little flabby as it warmed up. Best kept reasonably chilled.
